It was as hot as all the things people like to say things could be as hot as: Hell. Balls. Fuck. Shit. Biscuits. I took off my t-shirt, dipped it in the water and tied it around my head. I was fine with doing so because I was wearing one of my colorful bras and anyone passing by would be far enough away from my boat that they’d think it was a bathing suit top. People are so easily scandalized around here. You could walk into Circle K wearing a bikini and no one would take a second look but if I went in there in my bra and panties they’d shoo me out or call the cops. I know ‘cause I did it earlier today just to see.
Hot is out! Huge thanks to Baltimore’s The Avenue Journal for selecting this high-speed queer revenge fantasy as part of their Water themed anthology.
This story was inspired by someone I know who was evicted from their home following an incident of domestic violence, of which they were the victim. I thought, what would justice look like in this scenario? And then I went scorched earth. Literally.
It’s a fun story, I swear.
